Equal Ratio Breath

Begin seated in a comfortable position with a long spine.

As you breathe in through the nose for a 4-second count, let your belly soften and expand like a balloon.

Notice the white circle gradually increases in size as you inhale.

As you breathe out through the nose for a 4-second count, let your belly soften and sink toward your spine.

Notice the white circle gradually decreases in size as you exhale.

Repeat the full breath cycle 5-10 times.

Box Breath

Begin seated in a comfortable position with a long spine.

Inhale through the nose and silently count to 4, filling the lungs with air.

Notice the yellow circle gradually increases in size as you inhale.

Hold the air in your lungs while you silently count from 1-4 again.

Slowly exhale the air through your nose as you count down silently from 4 to 1.

Hold your lungs empty while you silently count from 1-4.

Repeat the full breath cycle 5-10 times.

4-7-8 Breath

Begin seated in a comfortable position with a long spine.

Inhale through the nose and silently count to 4, filling the lungs with air.

Notice the green circle gradually increases in size as you inhale.

Hold the air in your lungs while you silently count from 1-7 again.

Slowly exhale the air through your nose as you count down silently from 8 to 1.

Notice the green circle gradually decreases in size as you exhale.

Repeat the full breath cycle 3-5 times.

 
 

Lion's Breath

Begin seated in a comfortable position with a long spine.

Inhale through the nose and silently count to 4, filling the lungs with air.

Notice the orange circle gradually increases in size as you inhale.

Open your mouth wide, stick out your tongue, and stretch the tongue down toward your chin.

Exhale forcefully while making a "HA" sound for 8 seconds.

Repeat the full breath cycle 5 times.

Humming Bee Breath

 Begin seated in a comfortable position with a long spine.

Using your index fingers, gently press the ears closed.

Inhale through the nose and silently count to 4, filling the lungs with air.

Notice the purple circle gradually increases in size as you inhale.

As you exhale, make a humming or "mmmm" sound for 10 seconds, keeping the mouth closed and the teeth slightly separated.

Repeat the full breath cycle 5 times.

4-7-8 Breath

Begin seated in a comfortable position with a long spine.

Inhale through the nose and silently count to 4, filling the lungs with air.

Notice the green circle gradually increases in size as you inhale.

Hold the air in your lungs while you silently count from 1-7 again.

Slowly exhale the air through your nose as you count down silently from 8 to 1.

Notice the green circle gradually decreases in size as you exhale.

Repeat the full breath cycle 3-5 times.

Inhale through the nose and silently count to 4, filling the lungs with air.
